Service Description

LightSheer's third generation of vacuum hair removal utilizes 800 nm diode laser wavelengths and is equipped with the exclusive "HS Vacuum Probe" and "ET Cold Pressure Probe" dual-probe design, which provides dual effects in one machine and provides flexibility in treating coarse and fine hairs on all parts of the body.

The HS vacuum probe sucks the epidermal skin upward through the vacuum attraction principle to bring the hair follicles closer to where the laser energy strikes, and at the same time reduces the melanin density of the epidermis, temporarily blocking the blood flow of blood vessels, so that the laser energy can be more precisely focused on the hair follicles, and achieve the purpose of effectively destroying the follicles with a mild energy density, and greatly reduce the pain and the risk of side effects.

The ET Cold Pressure Probe is equipped with the ChillTip™ Sapphire Contact Cooling System, which reduces the surface temperature of the probe to 5°C, allowing it to treat small or angular areas such as facial hair, intimate areas, and finger and toe joints, which are difficult to fit with a vacuum probe, and is suitable for Asians with darker skin or fine hair.

The Three Growth Cycles of Hair

To understand the logic of laser hair removal, it is important to recognize the hair growth cycle:

• Growth period (Anagen)Hair follicles are active and melanin is abundant, the laser energy absorption efficiency is the highest, which is the golden opportunity for effective hair removal.
• Decline (Catagen): Hair roots stop growing, melanocytes begin to decrease, and hair removal efficiency decreases.
• Rest period (Telogen): Hair root completely atrophied, almost no melanin near stem cells, almost no response to laser light.

Since hairs in the same area are in different growth cycles at the same point in time, each laser hair removal treatment can only effectively work on the hair follicles that are in the "growth phase" at the moment, and each treatment can reduce the amount of hair by about 20-40%. Therefore, multiple treatments must be carried out in batches in accordance with the hair cycle in order to gradually achieve near-permanent hair removal results.

Intervals vary by site:

Precautions before treatment

Post-treatment Notes

• Slight redness and swelling around the hair follicle is normal and can be soothed by applying ice packs and usually subsides within 1-2 days.

• Avoid high temperature environments (sauna, hot springs, vigorous exercise) for 1 week.
• Do not use acidic, exfoliating or harsh ingredients for about 1 week.
